“Ouch” says my bank account.

So…. I got my cell phone bill today.. I knew it was going to be a higher this month because I upgraded my handset, got the Blackberry Mobile plan, and I had the phone calls that I made from Ireland on this bill… Well, what I didn’t know was how high it was..

$122.35

OUCH.

No Orla Kiely bag this month. My meager Mainline Health paycheck will be going to paying the phone bill. Expensive handbag will have to wait for another month (**it’s only meager b/c I only work 8 hrs/pay period).

In other news…
1. Psych Rotation is over. Now onto neuroscience.
2. Pharm test tomorrow. You sooo don’t want to hear my mnemonics for these drugs.. A little too x-rated for my family friendly blog….but you see.. the more bizarre they are… the easier it is for me to remember them.
3. White Sox & Twins tonight… Can’t wait.
4. Going to Indianapolis Nov 13-16. V. excited. Tickets are bought, hotel is booked. Yes, I’m a marching band alumni geek… Going to cheer for my former HS band at the Marching Band National Championships (yes, they really do exist..I have medals to prove it!).

3. I’ve given up on the White Sox season. Maybe next year… now I hope that the Cubs don’t win…
4. It has taken far too long for me to get into a groove this year with school. I don’t like that at all.
5. I need a hobby besides studying all the time.
6. I’m just really tired & my hand hurts from writing so much.

Gosh, I’m really depressing lately.. aren’t I?

Wednesday Night Update…

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to update because I have been a little lax.

Microbiology test tomorrow… I’ve been a busy bee studying like a good student. I’m taking a little break now to eat dinner and to watch “Bones.”

Today we started our neurology lectures… I learned all about MAP and how to calculate the CCP (I think that’s right). Totally interesting. Our teacher is awesome. Finally.. someone I really, really, really like.

Ok.. that’s it.

The one where I get reunited with my bed..

For the first time in 10 nights… I slept in my bed last night. No crickets. No chirping. It was heaven.

That’s it…

I passed. 80%. I got two wrong… and I know ONE of those was a really, really stupid mistake… so, in THEORY.. I knew 90% of the material…

I just MIGHT become a nurse after all!!!

I’m soooooooooooooooooooo glad that first exam is out of the way!

A little pharm for you folks: If you have a bed wetting kid.. you’ll want to use Trofranil, if you have Obsessive Complusive Disorder … your drug of choice would be Anafranil. Elavil can also be used for Migraine HA, and cancer pain.

Ok… two more categories of drugs to go.. SSRIs & MAOIs…

Cricket Update…

Yes, Jamie you are right.. I think for some reason crickets seem to like to hide in the corner of my bedroom…. it happened last year & I think one year before that..

Well, the saga continues…he only chirped once earlier tonight (about 8.30)… and then he showed his face… he was sitting on an envelope that had a plastic window… I heard him before I saw him…well, I too an old Merck Manual (way, totally out of date book) and threw it down hard…well, this little bugger actually survived..he was flipped over…but he lived… well, then I took my old OB textbook and tried it again… he jumped and got away… I don’t know where he is now… I don’t hear him…. maybe he is dying a slow death & going to cricket heaven in the sky.

I’m tired of studying… I’m going to bed.
