Tropic Thunder…

I laughed so hard… I peed my pants.

Really. I did.

Kudos to Ben Stiller. Amazing movie.

(ok… Folks.. it wasn’t “Schindler’s List” amazing… but it was amazing in its own way!)

Saturday.

Leaving for “Tropic Thunder” right about now (ie… 5 minutes).

Need to bring my BB Curve back to Costco… it seems that I got the ONE phone that doesn’t want to send text messages out… I can get them…. can’t send them.

That’s it. Still in a crappy mood… I called the convent back in Illinois… they said that they had an opening****

****no… of course i didn’t.

My Friday.

My thought for today.

I want to become a nun. Maybe instead of their deep seeded love of Christ.. the real reason women become nuns is that they don’t have to deal with men.

Hey.. I look good in black.

And that’s all I’m saying on the subject. Come to your own conclusions.

My first Costco trip…

So… my parents got me a membership to Costco back in May… today was the first time I ventured out to KOP to go there. Costco is NOT made for single people… There was so much there that I wanted and actually needed but not in 10 gallon sizes….So… what did I get???

My pictures developed from Ireland (ie…from my disposable camera)
A huge container of salsa
A 2 lb bag of tortilla chips
8 disposable razors
20 Lara Bars (these are for school…. I eat them during class)
My free pizza (when I signed up … I got a coupon for a free pizza.. I will NOT eat all of the pizza..but the coupon expires on Sunday..so, I thought I better use it)
And… the best part of my trip… a new cell phone: the t-mobile guy gave me a deal… $100 for a new BB Curve… Can’t wait…

Ok… time to eat pizza.

My realization.

I start school next week.

…as for now.. I’m going back to watching “Crossing Jordan” on A&E.

Bummer.

My digital camera broke this morning (9.30am local time… EST it was 4.30am). My very last day in Ireland and it couldn’t last ONE MORE FRICKIN’ DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, I’m completely hip and went old school. I bought a disposable camera w/ 40 shots on it… We’ll see how decent the pics turned out…

The good news behind this is that it has forced me to look for a new camera sometime in the near future.

Today I saw: Christ Church Cathedral, Guiness Brew House tour, lots of shopping, an amazing lunch, etc.. I’m back at my hotel to drop stuff off and then off again for some more exploring.

My rainy day in Ireland…

So… I’m here at 5.12pm local time. I’m in an Internet Cafe… I’m trying to decide what to do tonight.. It’s been raining most of the day here and is currently pouring outside as I type.

A few funny things that have happened since I’ve been here..

1. I was walking along Grafton Street (a huge section of Streets with all types of shops… good people watching…) when I heard a voice that was familar to most Americans: John C. Reilly..  he was walking right in front of me. He is as fellow DePaul grad (although a little bit more famous than me!) and a rabid Chicago White Sox fan… Anyway, he was walking with someone (his wife??) and a guy came running up to him to ask for his autograph… As I walked by I said ‘Hey… leave the White Sox fan alone!’ He said: ‘Yea.. Right!’  That’s sooo cool… I had a brief exchange with John C. Reilly…  actor in such fine films as the Dewey Cox Story & Step Brothers.  Wow.

2. I was in a mall walking around to get out of the rain..this was a few hours after my lunch..Well, I had Indian for lunch… I was walking in front of these two guys and I happened to fart… not a loud one…but a really, really smelly one… I knew I did it…but I don’t think they knew that I did it… So the one guy goes to his friend –’Did you do THAT?’… ‘NO. Did YOU do that?’… ‘No…but it was horrible!!’  I think two other people got the blame instead of me.  Whew… no more Indian on this trip.

That’s about it. My hotel  room is the size of a shoe… I will post pictures when I get back!

Ireland!!!

I’m currently in the arrivals hall at the airport in Dublin. For a major city.. the airport is mighty small. The flights were OK. Not totally impressed w/ Are Lingus..but it got me here safely.. that was their main job.

It’s 8.18am local time (5 hours ahead of Philly.. where I’m assuming you are all still asleep in your beds). The weather here is rainy w/ some sun. I think I might do the Literary Pub Crawl tonight… there is also a music one… 

Now.. I must find some water… I’m soo thirsty.. All I got on the plane was a 5 ounce Diet Coke and a 3 ounce cup of water.

It’s 9.55am

So far…

I’ve washed dishes, took a shower, did laundry, ordered my textbook, called about my flight, found my iPod,

I think that just leaves Target & the bank.. right? Oh.. and packing… can’t forget packing.

Almost 8am and I haven’t packed a thing…

So… you would think that I would partially excited about going to Ireland today. I’m not. I’m still sick and can’t seem to get myself motivated to do anything around the house (which ALWAYS happens when I’m sick)…

I need to leave for the airport by 1.30 today. My list of things to do:
1. Laundry
2. Pack
3. Bank
4. Target
5. Wash dishes
6. Order textbook for school

Ok… six things isn’t soooo bad… I better get cracking.
